Naming a baby is a serious undertaking. In theory, this is what they are going to be known as for the rest of their lives; no parent wants the embarrassment of their kid growing up and changing their name by deed poll because their naming choices caused so much unnecessary stress.

As such, it's no surprise that a lot of parents-to-be can get indecisive when it comes to what they want to call their children. There are so many factors to consider. Does it sound good? Will it suit them at every age? Can it easily be turned into a mean playground nickname?

When one young mom took to TikTok to share that she had decided to change her daughter's name after she was born, there were numerous individuals in the comments who claimed to have also experienced that as either a parent or a child. In this instance, there's rarely much harm in admitting you were wrong.
